Everything in One Universal File Merger
A complete, private, in-browser merger that combines PDFs, images, audio, video, documents, spreadsheets, JSON, XML and archives — using the right engine for each type, with full control over order and output.
PDF merger
Combine multiple PDFs into one, in any order, with a cover page, separators, rotation and preserved text, images and links.
Image merger
Merge images into a single PDF, a long vertical or horizontal image, a grid contact sheet, or a ZIP.
Audio joiner
Join MP3, WAV, AAC, M4A, FLAC, OGG and OPUS into one track with ffmpeg in your browser, with bitrate control.
Video merger
Concatenate MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV and WEBM clips into a single video with automatic format and resolution matching.
CSV & Excel merger
Combine CSV and XLSX files: dedupe headers, remove duplicate rows, and export one CSV or a multi-sheet workbook.
JSON & XML merger
Deep-merge JSON objects or concatenate arrays, and combine XML documents under a single root.
ZIP bundler
Bundle any set of files into one ZIP, or merge multiple ZIP archives into a single organised archive.
100% private
Every merge runs in your browser. Your files are never uploaded — nothing leaves your device.
What Is a File Merger?
A file merger is a tool that combines several separate files into one. Instead of sending ten PDFs, twelve photos or five audio clips, you merge them into a single, well-ordered file that is easier to share, store and use. A universal merger handles many file types — documents, images, audio, video, spreadsheets, data files and archives — and picks the right method for each.
This merger runs entirely in your browser. It reads each file locally, detects its type, validates it, and combines the files with the correct engine: pdf-lib for PDFs, canvas and pdf-lib for images, ffmpeg.wasm for audio and video, SheetJS for spreadsheets, and JSZip for archives. Because nothing is uploaded, your files stay private and the merge starts instantly.
- Many formats: PDF, images, audio, video, CSV, Excel, JSON, XML and archives in one tool.
- Smart routing: Detects the file type and uses the best merge engine automatically.
- You control order: Drag, sort and reorder so the output is exactly how you want it.
- Private by design: Files are merged on your device and never uploaded.
Why Use a File Merger?
Scattered files are hard to manage. Merging them solves real problems: a single PDF is easier to email and print than a dozen attachments; one long audio file plays without gaps; a combined spreadsheet is ready for analysis. A merger saves time, keeps things organised and produces a clean, professional result.
Whether you are assembling a report from many documents, joining video clips into one movie, consolidating monthly spreadsheets, or bundling a project into a ZIP, a universal file merger is the fastest way to bring everything together — securely and for free.
- Combine documents: Turn many PDFs, Word files and notes into one document.
- Merge PDFs: Assemble reports, contracts and scans into a single ordered PDF.
- Join videos: Concatenate clips into one continuous video.
- Join audio: Combine tracks, recordings and podcast segments seamlessly.
- Consolidate spreadsheets: Merge CSV and Excel files for reporting and analysis.
- Organise files: Bundle anything into a single ZIP for easy sharing.
Universal Merge Modes
Three modes give you the right balance of automation and control.
- Smart Merge: Detects the dominant file type and automatically picks the best merge method and output format.
- Sequential Merge: Combines files strictly in the order you uploaded them.
- Manual Merge: You drag, sort and reorder every file and choose the exact output format.
How the Merge Engine Works
When you add files, the tool detects each one’s category from its extension and MIME type, flags duplicates, corrupted and unsupported files, and computes a compatibility score and merge summary. You then arrange the order and choose settings.
On merge, the orchestrator routes the files to the correct engine: pdf-lib copies and re-assembles PDF pages; canvas + pdf-lib compose images into a PDF, long image or contact sheet; ffmpeg.wasm concatenates audio and video; SheetJS combines spreadsheets; native JSON/XML parsers merge data; and JSZip bundles or merges archives. Mixed file types are bundled into a single ZIP. Everything runs on your device.
- Validation first: Duplicate, corrupted and unsupported files are detected before merging.
- Best engine per type: Each category uses a purpose-built, real merge engine.
- Order preserved: Your exact ordering drives the merged output.
- No upload: Detection, validation and merging all happen in the browser.
How to Merge Files
Upload your files
Drag and drop or browse for the files you want to combine — PDFs, images, documents, audio, video, spreadsheets, JSON, XML or archives. Add a whole folder or hundreds of files; everything is read privately in your browser.
Arrange the order
Drag to reorder, use move up/down, or sort by name, date or size. The merge follows this exact order. The tool detects the file type and shows a compatibility score and merge summary.
Choose merge settings
Pick a merge mode (Smart, Sequential or Manual) and an output format. Add a cover page, file-name headers, separators or page breaks; set image layout, CSV/Excel options, audio bitrate and more.
Merge & download
Press Merge. A live dashboard shows progress; when it finishes you get one combined file to download, copy, share or grab as a ZIP — all generated on your device.

Who Uses a File Merger?
Business & admin
Combine invoices, contracts and reports into a single PDF, or consolidate monthly CSV and Excel files for analysis.
Students & researchers
Merge lecture notes, papers and scanned readings into one document, and combine data files for projects.
Developers
Deep-merge JSON configs, combine XML, bundle build artefacts into a ZIP, or join code-export PDFs.
Podcasters & musicians
Join audio segments, intros and outros into one MP3 or WAV with consistent bitrate.
Video creators
Concatenate clips into a single video with matched resolution and frame rate.
Photographers
Merge photo sets into a PDF portfolio, a long scrollable image or a printable contact sheet.
Private by Design
Your files never leave your device. Detection, validation and every merge engine run in your browser.
No upload
Your files are read and merged in your browser. They are never sent to a server.
Stays on your device
Inputs and the merged output live only in your browser tab and are released when you close it.
No account
No sign-up, no email, no tracking of your file contents.
Auto-discarded
Nothing is stored server-side, so there is nothing to delete — files vanish when you leave.
How It Works Under the Hood
pdf-lib
Copies and re-assembles PDF pages in the browser, preserving text, images, vector graphics and links.
ffmpeg.wasm
A WebAssembly build of FFmpeg concatenates audio and video on-device, with format and resolution matching.
SheetJS
Reads and writes real XLSX workbooks and CSV, combining sheets and rows with header de-duplication.
JSZip
Bundles files and merges archives into a single ZIP, with optional DEFLATE compression.
Pro Tips
Mixed file types?
Smart Merge bundles different categories into a single ZIP. To combine same-type files into one document, upload only that type.
Reorder before merging
Drag files, or sort by name/date/size, then reverse if needed — the merged output follows this exact order.
Images to a print sheet
Choose the contact-sheet output and set the number of columns to create a printable grid of thumbnails.
Clean spreadsheet merge
Turn on header de-duplication and duplicate-row removal so the combined CSV/Excel has one header and no repeats.
Audio quality
Set the MP3 bitrate (e.g., 192 or 320 kbps) before joining, or choose WAV for lossless output.
Big PDF assembly
Add a cover page and file-name separators so a long merged PDF stays navigable.
