Free Online Converter Tools
Find free online converter tools for measurement units, number bases, timestamps, text representations and QR payloads. Start by identifying what the input means before choosing an output. A unit conversion preserves a physical quantity, while a base conversion changes the notation of a number. Encoding text is a different operation again.
Questions and answers
Converter Tools FAQs
Why must I select the input number base?
The same digits can represent different values in different bases. For example, 10 means two in binary and sixteen in hexadecimal, so the source base determines the result.
Can I convert volume directly into weight?
Not from units alone. Converting volume into mass also needs the material’s density and appropriate conditions. Use a tool designed for that calculation when those inputs are available.
Why does a timestamp show an unexpected date?
Check whether the source uses seconds or milliseconds and which time zone the display applies. Mixing these conventions can produce a very different date or time.
When should I round a converted value?
Keep extra precision while doing further calculations, then round the final result to the precision required by your application. Repeated rounding can accumulate differences.
How can I check a generated QR code?
Scan it with a separate reader and inspect the decoded text or destination. Test the code at its intended display or print size before distributing it.
